Congratulations to Avene who passed her viva voce examination yesterday! This is the culmination of 4 years of research and we had a party to celebrate all the excellent contributions Avene has made. We even ‘wasted’ some helium a frivolous balloon! Well done Avene! Avene’s external examiner was Prof Amelia Rauter from Lisbon. She gave an excellent seminar in the afternoon. Then the party got into full flow.
