Avene, Nathan and Eoghan made presentations this week at EuroCarb 2017 in Barcelona. EuroCarb is the premier meeting for European Glycoscience, with >700 delegates from over 44 countries and there were many excellent presentations. Among them were the Emil Fischer award lecture by Prof Carlo Unverzagt and the Carbohydrate Research Award lecture by Prof Jeroen Codee. We also really enjoyed Prof Laura Kiessling’s lecture. We weren’t just there to listen though, Nathan and Avene presented posters on their research while Eoghan gave a talk on our work on stereoselective glycosylations. It was a great chance to meet up with other scientists and Barcelona was a great setting for the meeting.
