Congratulations to Ed Balmond who passed his PhD viva today! Ed is heading off to the USA now to pursue postdoctoral research with Prof Jared Shaw in University of California, Davis. Good luck Ed and thanks for all the hard work!

New Visitor to the Group
We welcome Raffael Wende to the group! Raffael has been awarded funding by the EU-funded COST Action on organocatalysis, ORCA (CM0905), to carry out a Short Term Scientific Mission in Dublin. He is a PhD student in the group of Prof Peter Schreiner and this visit kicks off a collaboration between our two groups. Raffael will spend a month in Dublin carrying out research in the area of organocatalysis and multi-catalysis. We hope he has an enjoyable and productive visit.
