Eoghan led a multidisciplinary team at the 3D-Printer Hackathon held by the UCD Innovation Academy this weekend. In this 2-day hackathon each of 40 teams were challenged to build a 3D printer and then print their own objects. We successfully built a printer in the first day and had it printing some interesting objects of a chemical and non-chemical nature. Pictured are the less camera shy team members with some of the items we printed. The models shown were printed from designs on thingiverse. We hope to report on further printing activities in the future as we get to bring the printer back to the lab!
